Emerald Lake Lodge We, BC.

Gorgeous sneak peek from a wedding I recently did at Emerald Lake Lodge in BC. Who doesn't love a winter wedding? I've had the pleasure of working at the Lodge a number of times in the summer, but being there in the winter was something else.

Emerald Lake Lodge is the only property on secluded Emerald Lake, surrounded by the breathtaking Rocky Mountains. The lodge is twenty minutes west of Lake Louise. Originally built in 1902 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, this historic property includes 85 comfortable units situated in 24 chalet-style cabins. The units feature cozy duvets, wood burning fireplaces and balconies or patios with magnificent views of the property.

Ease your stress in our gorgeous outdoor hot tub while enjoying the stunning view; or savour our internationally renowned ‘Rocky Mountain Cuisine’ in the Mount Burgess dining room. We feature elk and bison raised on our company’s 500 acre game ranch, and interesting boutique wines chosen by our Wine Director. We also offer a comfortable lounge and bar where more casual fare is offered, and this is the perfect place to unwind after a day out exploring the trails. Spend time playing snooker on our snooker table, or if you need to catch up on the events in the world, watch our big screen television in the main lodge. None of the units have their own television, creating a feeling of peace and tranquillity in the rooms.

During the winter months, excellent groomed cross country skiing trails surround the lodge, as well as opportunities to snowshoe. Downhill skiing is available a short drive away. During the summer months, canoeing on the lake is a popular pastime and a variety of hikes are available which leave from the lodge’s grounds. Most of the activities at the lodge are suitable for beginners and more advanced adventurers.

The secluded location, gourmet food and unique boutique wines make Emerald Lake Lodge a truly romantic, relaxing destination, as well as the perfect place to stay for those looking for an escape from the hectic pace of modern city life.
